Applications
- Watairvent® furring strips are used in exterior wall assemblies as a non-absorptive, moisture-resistant component to create a rain screen system, facilitating drainage and ventilation between the sheathing and the final siding to prevent trapped moisture and prolong the life of the structure. They act as a continuous capillary break, allowing moisture to escape from behind the cladding, thus protecting the underlying wood sheathing and framing from rot and mold.
