Clear Pine Fingerjoint S4S Product Overview
Our clear pine boards offer flexibility with both a Prime Coat option for an instant, on-the-job final finish, and an unfinished option allowing you to apply your preferred paint primer and finish coat. Available in 16′ lengths in a variety of common dimensions, these S4S boards help reduce butt joints and the number of pieces needed on the job.
Features & Benefits
-
Finger Joint Construction:
Small, clear pieces of pine are interlocked like fingers and joined with a strong adhesive to form longer boards. -
Clear Pine:
This refers to wood that is free of defects such as knots, resin pockets, and stains, making it ideal for painting and finishing. -
High Stability:
The finger-jointing process creates a more uniform material that is less prone to warping or cracking from changes in humidity and temperature compared to solid lumber. -
Cost-Effective:
It’s a more affordable alternative to solid wood for appearance-grade projects, especially when compared to domestic US species. -
Smooth, Consistent Finish:
The manufacturing process, including vacuum coating and double buffing, results in a very smooth surface ready for primer and paint.
